  • Open the Lenovo device. Next, go to the Lenovo Vantage app.
  • Now, search for the Battery Charge Threshold option. Toggle the Off option to On.

After toggling the “Battery Charge Threshold ” option, you will be able to get rid of the charging issues in the Laptop. Now, try to charge the device and you will be able to do that.

Method 3: Do a Power Reset

  • Hold the Windows and R keys other, this will, open the Run dialog box.
  • In the Run dialog box, write “devmgmt.msc”. Hit the Enter button next.
  • This will open the device MANager window. In that window, search for the “battery” option and double-tap on it.

  • From the drop-down menu, choose the “Uninstall device” option.
  • Next, tap on the Uninstall option to uninstall the ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery

Turn off the laptop and disconnect the AC Adapter for the laptop. Take out the battery from the laptop. Hold and press the Power button for a while. 

Release the Power button after a while. Take the battery back in the device and plug-in the charger. Power on the laptop. 

After turning on the laptop, the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery will automatically get installed in the device. But if you are getting issues while installing the device, then you need to move to the next section. 

How to Reinstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery

To reinstall Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery in the laptop, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Hold the Windows and the R key together. This will open the Run dialog box.
  • In the Run dialog box, write “devmgmt.msc”. Hit the Enter button next.
  • This will open the Device Manager window. In that window, search for the “Batteries” option.
  • Tap on the Batteries option and then tap on the Action option.
  • Next, choose the “Scan for hardware changes” option.

Wait for a while until the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery gets installed in the device. By just doing this, you will be able to get rid of the “battery plugged in not charging” error.

Method 5: Update the Driver for the Battery Management Device

  • Search for the latest version of the driver.
